For me to explain this I’m not thinking at all about poor me or why me, this is how I realized last night the things we take for granted with everyday living. Simple things since I have been haven this hip problem and now the operation, sitting is a lot of work just finding the right position and the length of time that I sit – standing is the same have problems with the position and the length of time – laying down is a big one especially if I put my leg in the wrong position – sleeping is a major problem but it’s improving I have gone from two hours on the average to four so that’s improved a fair bit – driving is not happening cant get in the car at all – going to the toilet I have a structure to lift the seating to help to go to the toilet mainly because of the height – with the shower I have a special seat so I can shower properly – walking or bending more than 90% so I have tongs to pick up anything if I drop them – sex it just doesn’t happen as its just full pain full stop and I suppose you need a partner Hahaha good point Lol.
It’s funny until one of your parts of your body breaks down you don’t realise how much they need for that, until the hip went I had no idea how much we use and need the hip for so many things with everyday movement from the time you get out of bed until you go to bed it would be one of the most variable parts of the body in constant need and use. So yes we do take things for granted in the way we live and the way we move around, it’s not until you have a breakdown that it hits home, but all so the body is an amazing thing as we learn to change our habits, living arrangements, body movements, and the outlook of what we need to do and the way the mind helps prepare and adjust to the different ways – id say again another good learning point with life and the way I live and one that prepares you if we run into other situations that could drastically change your life and living.
The body is like a car as we get older we need more and bigger services to keep in tune Lol.
